If you bid 2 weeks on the first round, do you not bid for week 2 or does the extra week on round one come off a later week of vacation?

You keep bidding until all your weeks are exhausted. If you had three weeks initially and got awarded two weeks on your primary then you have one more week to bid on the secondary bidding.

When seniority allows, I bid two weeks spread across June/July or July/Aug, then slide vacation within the bid month. AITA for taking two summer weeks?

This is even explained in one of the surviving summer flying products put out by DALPA

No way! That’s a brilliant maneuver. And I’m junior in category and have never held a summer vacation in 8 years at delta. But when i can, I’ll definitely be bidding like that.
