I do frequently. I may get up a bit earlier to hit the gym if I have a short day in front of me. A long day? F-that. I’m sleeping in.

I had two of the exact same length layovers in Dallas last trip. One had twice the block as the other did. I only hit the gym on one day. Can you guess which one?

When bidding Europe 3 Pilot trips under 12 hour legs how much time do you need between check out on trip 1 and check in on trip 2 if trying to put two trips back to back? In other words what is the minimum PBS time between trips for bidding?

From the SRH it looks like 18 hours - does that sound correct?

Breaks Between Pairings
PWA Section 23 D.
11. A regular line will be constructed to contain at least:
a. 48 hours free of duty between all different direction (Europe/Pacific/South America) ocean crossing rotations.
Exception: A pilot may reduce this requirement to 24 hours free of duty in PBS.
PBS Committee Note: This option is accessible under the Waive Bid Preference
b. 13 hours free of duty prior to a trans-oceanic duty period.
c. 18 hours free of duty following a trans-oceanic duty period.
d. 12 hours free of duty between rotations.

Thanks Scoop

That is correct. PBS will ensure you have 18 hours free of duty after a rotation with an any ocean crossing in it. It will be 48 hours free of duty if the second trip is to a different theater than the first. You can waive the 48 hours down to 24 hours in PBS. You cannot waive the 18 hours down to 12 hours.

Interesting question. I am supposed to love my fellow man no matter how evil they sometimes act towards me. That is a hard thing to do sometimes which is why I need help from someone much much stronger than I. You can mock all you want, but I pray for you anyway because I want you to know peace. If that is a bad thing, please help me understand how it is so.

And uttering His name is fine, just not with contempt, condemnation and flat out insult, yet even so that is your choice/freedom to do so. I am curious though; does uttering those things that are insults to both Him and me give a feeling of superiority or something? It's an honest question. Isn't it similar to me referring to your mom as a ***** <- (interesting that this particular word is edited, yet GD is not) or your father as a pedophile? I don't know either of them so why would I want to do that? (Hint: I wouldn't, and I don't)

The difference is that all can agree he actually has a mother and a father. There is no universal agreement that this “Him” you reference actually exists and can actually be offended. I’m glad you have the belief, because it appears to hold value for you.

There are a good number of polytheists, alternative monothesists, agnostics and atheists who were not indoctrinated similar to your experience. In their eyes, offending this Heavenly Father of yours is nothing more than silly mythology.

It still doesn't answer the question of why so many feel it necessary to lay the insult towards Christians. If God is insulted, so am I. It is a very selfish and disrespectful attitude to throw that out imho. And whether or not he has parents is irrelevant really. They are not MY parents, I don't care about them like he does. But as a Christian, I care for them as a fellow human so the insult would be out of line and not right. Why not extend the same courtesy? Oh... and the use of the word 'indoctrinated' is very interesting as well. I was 'resistant' for a very very long time. Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you and changing your perspective. I wasn't 'indoctrinated'. I urge you to open your mind, turn down the cockpit lights some dark night over the Atlantic, and ask yourself where all those stars came from, and tell me you truly believe that this is all there is to it.

Thanks for the civil response.

Those are some heavy feelings. I kid, but no really. Every believer thinks this. The belief system changes, the feelings don’t. Nothing you’ve said is unique to Christians or any sub disciplines of any religion.

Asked and answered. Yep, none of the 3000 gods that man invented are real. That said, your beliefs are yours, and mine are mine. I respect yours. Please respect mine.

Lets try to at least limit the the thread drifts to something Aviation related, or College football, or even Miatas, but please lay off the religion.

Thanks Scoop
