OK thanks, actually what I thought, for some reason the "reserve guarantee" was completely removed from my time card and only the achieved credit is displayed now, so I need to figure out the ALV for July, hit the reserve calculator and figure out what it should have been. Thanks.
Use the reserve pay calculator at www.johnfbell.com Works like a charm. Key input to know is whether you used IVD from Primary vacation or later weeks. Primary pays 3:45 per day. Others pay less (3:15?)
Short answer is yes, the vacation days are always worth a little less than pro rata reserve days. In other words, taking vacation costs you money.

To add, with the calculator you can calculate your new min guarantee for the month. If you might now be full be sure to let them know, your reserve obligation is complete for the rest of the bid period.

But for bidding a reserve line in PBS that isn't how it works. You lose 1/30 (or 1/31) of the reserve guarantee for every vacation day in the bid period, replaced by the same 3.30/3.45 per day of vacation. You end up "profiting" about an hour or so per vacation day over the reserve guarantee in a full reserve month with no vacation.
Easily calculated using the online tools. Or perhaps you were talking about something else?
