Its not the senior ones you have to worry about. It’s the ones who have been here almost three years and have NEVER done the commute the old school way. They have very little invested at this point.

Someone here 3 years and they have very little invested? We won’t lose a single pilot who has been here more than a year to a change in PS. Keep in mind we still have a contractual PS benefit that is permanent.

Leaving a base to become a commuter is an expensive proposition. I laughed at the idea of a mass exodus to become commuters because of positive space. Over a decade I could see a gradual trend toward a higher percentage of commuters, but not a sudden shift. The biggest initial difference will be commuters who upgrade to categories where PS lets them commute same day.

Green slip wise - you don’t need to check loads or anything. Just take it and then call crew scheduling if you can’t get on the flight. They will bump somebody if need be. And if they don’t want to do that then they just move down the ladder. This are words from crew scheduling reps. Don’t take my word for it - call and ask them. White slip is another story though.
