I’m aware, thanks. I commuted to SFO as the literal plug for a month and it’s nothing great.

The individual we’re talking about will sit in the left seat for the first time as a Delta pilot. And yes good for him. He was at Republic then Spirit, both less than a year, then hired at delta at literal flight time minimums when Covid put us all at a standstill.
But to be fair, if you’re younger like me and have Instagram, you know of him for not good reasons IMHO.
I personally can’t stand the kid. Why, because ALL his posts are just full of bragging and stroking his own ego. He could just post a picture of being a proud Delta pilot, but it’s border line narcissism with “at the age of 25 I will become a Detla pilot”. Ok, congratulations buddy, but let’s settle down the ego stroking. What he doesn’t understand is he makes us all look bad with that crap.

Also, at delta the reserves go senior often. For 260 an hour he can move to nyc, hes- what 20?- he can probably get an apartment in kew or forrest with no cosigner.
One of the new minted captains is an insta-moron and lives with his mom still.

Yeah..that's kind of my point....I know the 717 and DC-9 have the same type rating...but he could have typed B-717 on his profile, but he chose to be misleading and type DC-9.

Zero captain time and hardly any time in his airline career in general equals hardly any experience. Influencers used to be guys like Al Haynes who would fill an auditorium to hear his real experience and advice after serious events and decades of experience. Not dudes dancing to cringe music in cockpits and more worried about selfies than anything else.
