Prepare Yourselves… 2022 AEs

The email from Bob, on the matrix with senior and junior pilot in each catagory shows junior A330 A in ATL as seniority number 5734. This must be a typo right? I didn’t think any sub 3000 numbers were in the left seat of the 330 in ATL.

the junior WB A systemwide is a oct 99 hire in NYC765 at 37XX
EDIT I guess there is 1 pilot (must be an instructor or something) that is 57XX in ATL330A after that it drops to 12XX

Could be a captain sli. They can hold aircraft outside of seniority.

The variety on the 330 is heavily laden with South America and Africa. Both are double red-eyes. The flying is far more fatiguing than an afternoon departure to Europe, followed by a daytime return.

NYC 765 has been for years, at least since 2017 when the flood gates opened. ATL and NYC are totally different seniority profiles on the -400. And it’s because NY has uncommutable 2-day trips permanently in the bid pack (at least pre-Covid. Once international recovers, and the 321-NEO is up and running the transcon market, that may change).
As the recovery happens, and international categories resume actually flying internationally, I suspect WB B starts to go much more senior as NB pilots seek some refuge from the crap domestic rotations, but I could be wrong.

If it's a 3+ hour flight on a 757-200 now, it's going to be a NEO in a year or two.
If the capacity necessitates a 767-300 or 767-400, then they're around as well to go into the mix.

Not initially, but as the amount of NEOs increases, there will be airframes with the flat beds and four-class layout available to start putting into routes such as JFK-LAX.

How long does it generally take for a base transfer on an AE? Assuming same seat and same equipment.
