Every one of those cities you mentioned 3-4 years ago was 717, 737, and ER with the occasional Airbus.

Point made. Stuff at this place changes—non stop. Just like my current rotation for the 4th time this trip!

since then we’ve acquired a ton of Airbus. And on top of that, you can fly an airplane into said city that seats anywhere from 120-190 pax and can be flown by the same pilot. I see your point, but I think times have changed.

Also 3-4 years ago I did all those cities on the -88 as well. It seems like they become more siloed to a particular fleet as the 88's were wound down.

In the last few years (just prior to COVID) Delta made a conscious decision to ‘silo’ as possible to simplify/reduce maintenance costs and provide more RR flexibility.

Town hall today, DW said Feb 5th more than likely for next AE. More FO centric , small WB numbers. Next AE planned for May for WB.

His body language to me shows they want to do more, but the whole pipeline is messed up.

I would bet May ends up as a 365 day MOAB. Just a WAG on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised if anyone currently on property will be able to hold an A position when it all shakes out. I'll reserve judgement on WB B until we get a better look at the Feb AE.

How can they wait until May? Is training just so backed up right now that they physically can't do a substantial one now? Seems like all the other airlines are running frequent much larger bids than us.

they made it sound like training from past AEs still aren’t done. Plus LCPs still not fully staffed on some fleets.
