Plenty of pilots in the RJs, corporate and we part91. There’s just an excess of demand right now, that will be down by next summer.

Edit: wouldn’t they have to close the 7er or the 765 category to create a new one?

Now that the iron wall covering the 7ER A postions has dropped like a rock, the next big wall is clearly NYC765A. Darkhorse Iron Wall candidate is NYC330A. I believe those fall to next generation Delta pilots in 2-3 years

I was a longtime 320B who made the jump to A last year. I feel it was a mistake. The trips are not good. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to fly with your favorite captain and the money is good but below 60% or so, NB A is a bit of a rough way to make a living right now. I’ll be headed to WB B as the opportunity presents and will take a look at coming back further down the road. Personal preference and all that. I’m sure some junior guys want to step up and take a crack at it. Hope they find what they are looking for.
With the way the trips are on most NB, the old 60% is closer to 30% lol. Not sure I'll ever willingly drop below ~30% in category anymore, at least until they tame the optimizer. I'd consider going back to WB B when most all the domestic is gone and I could be sub 50%...currently though, even 30-40% is seeing coverage on WB B, which is crazy.

Without any major airframe retirements I could see true WB A going that way as well. Not sure how junior but under 20 years on property.

FWIW, comparing this AE to the Feb 22 AE, they looks very similar, with a few exceptions. Overall vacancies are close, within about 100 total. Notable differences are more WB A's (weighted toward 330), more WB B (weighted to the 350), NB positions shifted toward 320 from 220/717, more LAX ER/NB, and Less NYC ER/NB.
But overall, fairly similar. As a result, I would expect similar overall movement to the Feb AE, which was pretty strong.
Good luck to all, and always remember, there will be awards in nearly every category, regardless of what is posted as vacancies. In some cases, many more awards. You can't get it awarded if you do not bid it. BWYWWWYB.

Doesn’t matter the airframe, if you want any chance of Europe on your Captain line you need a “3” in the first digit of seniority. Any junior 7ERAs are only getting this through trip swaps or reserve. BWYWWWYB.

i know that winter is a downtime for the plane but deliveries are Coming
maybe they will post a bunch on the next one december.
