If you need the interwebs to answer questions about new categories opening, then you don’t stand a chance with PBS, PCS, bidding etc. I mean, come on, this is your career/quality of life. READ THE SOURCE DOCUMENT! Then ask specific questions! Yes there are tons of nuanced ways to take advantage of the system, and this is a great place to learn that. But AE bidding is pretty straight forward, especially with all of the hints/tips/tricks that DALPA puts out! I know I’ll get a lot of flack for this. It’s just “new guys asking questions”. But damn, I would have been embarrassed to ask this simple stuff. It’s all information readily available to every delta pilot!

Oh, and while you’re on here hoping some anonymous dude accurately answers your contract question, some PWA ninja junior to you is learning how to get your line/schedule/seat/etc.
Ok, boomer.

Nothing ruins my day quite like having to swipe my thumb a half inch up to scroll past a noob question.

Exactly. I mean, why do they even have that stupid “Scheduling Reference Page” on BookFace too?? Sooo annoying. /Sarcasm

Seriously, why the angst? Scroll past, FFS. Feel better about yourself while watching the noobs screw themselves with their ignorance. I get a little frustration at thread drift, but everybody has to start somewhere. Some of these old farts have forgotten how much nuance there is to learn.

Besides, does it occur to some of you there are not just 200 New Hires a month, but a lot of applicants as well? They come here to learn and ask questions. And rightfully so.

C’mon man! Don’t you know the forum isn’t for information for noobs or prospective pilots anymore?! This is only a place for the same 10 people to argue about rumors, masks, and politics. And we don’t wear masks anymore so they’re running out of content.

Do you realize most of those questions are from CJO holders? They don’t have the documents.

Don’t be that Delta guy, you know the 1%.

Anyone who puts on their thick skin for a moment to digest this post will advantage himself over those who don’t want to listen. Personally I’m shocked how many newbies AND veterans have absolutely no idea how (name the issue) works in the contract, icrew and PBS. I’m sure that’s how it’s always been and probably won’t change, but if you trade Sudoku for the PWA and reference guides once per trip you can boost your qol significantly.

It isn’t the same 10 people…it’s only like 2 or 3 with multiple accounts.

Believe me, this place and chit chat are echo chambers built with 10ft of concrete.

There’s some good info here from time to time and the arguments are entertaining.

What happened to Drum??

Drum got doxxed and quickly left the forum thereafter. He is probably here with a new screen name. I am totally against doxxing. I THINK somebody did it to him when he claimed to be hired at a certain time and then claimed to be hired at another time in different posts.
