The 767-300 pay rate is absolutely mind-boggling. Someone was out to lunch when that happened. The 757-300 thing doesn’t make sense either when you look at the others. Do unions not negotiate rates for aircraft that are out of production? I say this because it appears to be the same at The U if I’m not mistaken.

Watch what they do, not what they say

Done.

Parenthetically, the Company has expressed no interest in pay-banding.
Longevity.... Left seat or right seat. Let the company buy whatever they want, but they can pay me for my 30 years worth of experience

Better

They have no interest in that either.

The days of maxing out the last three years for pensions are gone. We should look at maximizing pay early in the career. Then the money has a chance to grow….or pay off debts that might accrue interest. Im all about pay banding or one rate with longevity raises.

The rate was not blended. In the 2001 contract the company offered without us even asking to bring the 757 rate up to the 767-300ER. They also moved the 767-300 rate to the ER. The 767ER received the same raise as other aircraft in the contract. To this day I don’t think anyone knows why the company offered a free raise.

Delta IT to company: We can write code for all these discrete pay categories or keep the wheels on for the operation. Which do you want?

Sometimes lightning can strike where it helps us.

because the company knew the ER rate was way lower than it should be compared to their aircraft. Offering to bring the 757 up kept ALPA from going after an appropriate rate for the ER.

AE early May. ~1,400 positions, 1,100 for new hires. The other 300 for the A330/350 and some NB backfills. There’s a post on skyhub if you want to get into the weeds.

I think this is actually closest to the truth.

Accept it wasn’t back then. The 767-300 ER rate was industry leading.
