Why would folks stop picking up Greenslips? One of the LOAs negotiated by DALPA reduced the GS trigger so most pilots don't have to reach a credit trigger beyond their awarded PBS rotation. Paying double for a trip is enough compensation to get many folks to put on the uniform.

Reserve -- Arcos has 3-day and 2-day rotations available. Pilot selects and is awarded a 2-day greenie; no 3-day selected due to family plans. On last day gets re-routed into his 3rd X-day.
Line holder -- Arcos has a rotation that ends in a deadhead. Commuting pilot selects and is awarded greenie. Last deadhead segment changed into a fly segment. Has to get hotel.

Cripe I cant believe all the people continuing to WS and PSB their tails off! Somewhat undermines the crummy rotation argument. I would have thought the excessive WSing would have ended by now but sure don’t see that. GSing will continue for sure though.

4000 pilots passing up Captain isn't about the money or dollars per day worked or anything like that so much as it is about the absolute trashed "Optimized" NB rotations in the post 2018 era. When someone is not only a WB-B but a super senior NB-B and can finally bid something somewhat acceptable, the pay bump often isn't worth shredding your QOL. If you're junior anyway (bottom 2/3 to 3/4 is junior now with these rotations) then taking an hourly raise for the same bad trips becomes an easier choice.
Even with the pay cuts. (Some, not all. There were degrees of this, obviously. The UNAs were in a tight spot).
Not just our industry, either.

This. NB-A and seriously considering WB-B again now that the Covid panic is over. QOL tool bag is getting exhausted and I just got awarded 4 weeks of vacation from November to February and none are over holidays. Not happy and never see the kids due to 5 day trips and working weekends.
