Uniforms

Just because jackets are no longer required doesn’t mean you can wear whatever you want on walk around. If you choose to not bring your jacket and it’s 20 degrees somewhere then plan on wearing your short sleeve shirt. I’ve had several FO’S over the years bring sweater (not even black) and light jackets to wear. No go. Don’t put me in that position to have to act like your dad and tell you what you can’t wear. It’s not that hard.
How about, instead of you trying to be the "uniform police", you applaud me when I make the prudent decision to wear something that is going to protect me from the elements way better than the weenie jacket?

So I don't necessarily disagree (social media annoys me to no end), but I'll let the chiefs deal with it. If it's really bad, maybe a good natured comment once we have a good working relationship.

Fair enough. It's just the word he used. I wish AA did a better job at standardizing/enforcing our uniform situation - because of the merge and the various uniform changes, we have folks wearing all sorts of different stuff out there on the line. Especially the coats. And that's in the terminal, let alone during a walk around or on the employee bus.

Saw a guy in the terminal today in a North Face jacket and his hat. I mean, if you're gonna go incognito, ditch the hat! Or if you really dig wearing the hat, ditch the jacket. But both? That's just confusing. All in or all out with the uniform. No half measures.
