Also, if you call they will release you for the last two hours of the SC period to commute home if not much is going on. Not bad for a commuter.....sit around the airport for a 5hr period. Enough time to hit the gym, eat some lunch/dinner, check email then be on your way.
Thanks for that explanation.

Imagine being in a marriage with a stepdaughter whose biological father is local and active in her life, and subsequently telling said daughter you’re moving her away. No thanks.

Life is sometimes lived in the gray and not always about you.

that’s pretty different from the cowardly “if mama ain’t happy nobody’s happy” capitulation stance

+1. There are probably a hundred different possible reasons not to leave. Your kids' friends. Your and your wife's friends. A support network of family. Losing a few hours per trip and close-in greenslips is WELL worth not having to live in Delta Pilot City for a lot of people. It's a perk of the job.

Wasn't it only yesterday that you were schooling us about colloquial phraseology?

Which base?

Wife's career, business outside of Delta, ANG / AFRES. The list goes on and on...

Please don’t start another “commuting is a choice” argument/thread drift! 🤦‍♂️

Is there a minimum reserve stretch of days? Can you bid 2 days on 1 off?
