SC assignment - no call
I was assigned SC yesterday afternoon, 1000-1900 today. I checked my phone when I got up and found a trip with an 1139 report on my line. I headed to the airport, expecting a call along the way. I never got called - should I have? I couldn’t find the answer in the SRH.
For future reference … I’m not a reserve guy normally, but I bid it this month due to CQ/vacation.

If it was not on your line prior to 1500, they have to call you at the start of your SC period to assign it. You should have stayed home.

out of curiosity did you sign in for the trip prior to 1139? Perhaps around 1000? Not trying to dox I’m simply wondering if crew skeds caught a break with an early sign-in.

I appreciate all the replies. No, I left the house at 1000 and signed in around 11:15, fully expedting a call on the drive in.
I was thinking maybe there was a requirement to check your schedule upon starting SC, but wasn’t sure so took the conservative route and went to work. Apparently there isn’t …
