You'll actually bid for your schedule during the normal bid process. You'll have a "shadow period" of days where everything put on your line during that period is just for pay purposes, but is dropped back into the pot for others to bid. Everything after your shadow period will stay and you'll work them as scheduled as long as you're done with OE. I think there were some scheduling updates sent out by the union with some good information, but it's nearly impossible to quickly find anything in the union website and I'm not finding it right now.
Most guys try to stuff as much of their schedule into the shadow period as possible. Meaning they find the highest time trips and bid those and try to find a 5 day that starts on the last day of the shadow bid period. Even though only the first day of the trip touches the shadow period, it's all dropped with pay.

That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Quick question regarding being "full" on reserve.
I never tried this strategy but thinking of picking up a bunch of white slips and yellow slips to get up to 72 hours/ ALV to get to being Full and not having to have to fly over Christmas and New Years. Is there any gotchas I should be made aware of before doing this? Thanks in advance
Am planning to calling the union about this but would like your guys' take on it first

also IIRC a YS only gives you priority within your bucket. I may be wrong but I think a bucket 2 pilot with no YS would be assigned a trip before a bucket 3 pilot with a YS. Also I think YS on day off goes after all in base reserve, regardless of slip request.
I don’t have the contract handy but I’d look at those things to see. That may mess up your plan.

There's a few trips out there. I'd consider out of base whiteslips also as long as it's commutable

Parking for crash pad car
Does the company get you a parking sticker for all the 3 airports you’re covering (assuming I’ll get NYC)or you gotta pick one that you use the most?
Also how does it work to get airport parking at home? I’ll be commuting from FLL.
