As someone that rarely bids reserve (less than 2 times in the last 4 years), I can say my experience this month in a WB category is terrible. 8 on call days and I have been used 8 days to fly and it's only the 5th of the month!? Granted, I'm not a reserve ninja, but this is really terrible, condsidering I'm 35% in category. I don't have the time or patience to sift through all the data of who was on the list and who is flying and who isn't, but it doesn't seem like they are following any of the rules anymore. No, I don't have proof, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know it's not right. If you are a commuter, I would caution anyone from bidding reserve!!!

I’m not a trip coverage ninja, but haven’t been called for GS this month so was scrolling through the trip coverage for grins and found that one went out junior to me. When I looked in ARCOS, it said “Not offered DNO 898 reserved for FAR 117…..
The day of report I was coming off of 2 X days so I don’t get the 117 issue. It was a 5 day and I had 48 hrs rest prior to report so I believe I was legal for the trip. It would have impacted reserve days later in the month but that shouldn’t be a factor right? Anybody know that error code?

Block hours? Are you near 100 hours? Have you tried putting in the rules auditor?

Called scheduling and it took them over 15 minutes for them to come up with an answer. Apparently when the GS went out I was on shortcall and it was less than 10 hours to report so I wouldn’t have had rest.

In reference to the RUO, who would be awarded a 2 day trip with a carve?
a 2 day bucket or a 3 day? Assuming same RAW.
can the 2 day reserve pilot be flown into an X day if it releases prior to 02:00?
Can’t find reference to this in section 23.

A reserve must be scheduled to release by midnight on their last LC day. Thus a "2 day" trip that releases at 0001 or later would have to go to a reserve with 3 or more days of availability.
