Finishing with a red eye
Fellow reserve afficionados... I recently GS'd a trip that fell mostly on X days, but "pseudo" finished on a day of reserve. The reason I say pseudo is because it was a red eye that departed on the last day of reserve and is the last date printed on the rotation like normal. It blocked in on an X day. Which day will credit be applied?

For example, (best guess of your situation): ATL based, 3-day GS as follows: XX XX Res. Redeye reports at LAX at 2330 on that "Res" day, but converted to ATL time is 0230. That FDP and credit will pay above guarantee because it starts on an X-day.
However, if you are LAX based doing a redeye departing from SLC, you are SOL.
Hope that helps.

Does accepting a GS on a LC day(F#1) count towards your green slip for the month? In other words, does that now make me only eligible for GS#2 as my next green slip? Or do I still have the option for GS#1 after having been awarded F#1?

I believe it counts like a regular GS since it is listed under the GS section of the contract. 23.U.1.c

F#1 = G#1. The only difference is how they pay. Many times they do not correctly code a GS as F, meaning the pilot is missing out on pay.

Short calls out of control!
Called it. 18hr reserve call-out has scheduling having hard-ons for short calls. ATL 765B tomorrow has 8 guys on short call in a category that only has 5 or 6 trips that start per day. Also has multiple guys with short call starting at 8am in a pure international category with the earliest start time of 1630.
I really can't believe they didn't put any short call category restrictions in the new contract. At least that 1 hour of pay will help

Got news for you, Scheds was putting more people on SC than required by their little formula, sometimes every pilot available even though nothing in OT and no IROP, under the old contract…this is not unique to the new PWA.
agreed it would have been nice to see some caps in place to restrict how far over their formula they can go.

I was talking specifically about a cap to limit how many people they can give SC above the formula (and yes I know the formula is not binding as it is only a recommendation).
The SC required doc has always been available on DLNet…I don’t remember the new PWA changing that.
