Question:
On a green slip while on reserve one were to deviate from deadhead on the back end and that deadhead happens to run late resulting in a release after 3pm, can you have the release time adjusted in order to net a PR day?
Scheduling says no.

To add to what was said above, as soon as you notify that you are deviating your schedule is locked in at that moment. Anything that happens after that with your DH does not affect you for pay/PB days/etc.

Not sure about reserve, but this is not true for Line. I DDH and drove home. Original DH gets delayed…I got the extra cash.

That absolutely is not how it works and you need to call back until you find someone competent. Then call your CPO.
You get 9 hours free from duty following any GS on reserve. Then you get 24 hours off from that point for every interrupted x-day.
They may ONLY bank when there are no more on call days. An on call day is one that isn't an x day so it doesn't matter if there is an assignment, LC or SC..

Thank you for standing your ground, and for posting the results here for all to learn. The only way uninformed/mistrained CSers will learn is if we hold them to the PWA. Sometimes that goes for us too…
CS is a hard job, especially for a non-pilot to learn how things work and understand the nuances. I have found you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. Said another way, never raise your voice in an argument you k ow you are going to win.

Thanks everybody. I ended up using Crew Assist initially. They talked to a scheduling supervisor and had me call the supervisor directly. The supervisor had no issues and corrected my PB day allocation as you all suggested and the 5 day dropped back into open time, now being split up for green slips.
The run of the mill schedulers don't always understand the contract that well. This was my first time in this situation myself so I was a little unsure and ceded to the scheduler until you guys prompted me to challenge their actions.
Cheers,

Hey Fangs15, CBreezy & Bugman61,
I put in an ACE enquiry to the scheduling committee and they told me this:
Thank you for the info. After speaking with the SC Chairman and the negotiators about this matter, CS is correct in not removing the pilot from a reserve assignment. 23.Q.6.c.Exception is specific to a FAR/PWA conflict. This allows the next day RES award/assignment to be removed and the same-day GS to be awarded. In this case of a pilot having a RES assignment on their schedule and then receiving a GS that does not conflict with the RES assignment, there is no requirement for the pilot to be removed from the RES assignment. The PB/PR days will be applied after the pilot completes their RES assigned rotation.
This really sucks going forward. This new PWA has given a pretty good efficiency gain to the company with them being able to assign RES assignments 2 days out meaning I can't GS 2 days prior to get a PB to reduce my exposure. Not to mention the ARCOS batch sizes and that's a good hit to QOL right there.

Hey Fangs15, CBreezy & Bugman61,
I put in an ACE enquiry to the scheduling committee and they told me this:
Basically they will only drop the assigned reserve trip IF the trip has a PWA or FAA conflict. Neither of mine did so they shouldn't have dropped the RES assignment for me.

Both. My first issue was with a GS then a few days later it was with an IA. The response from the Scheduling Committee was specifically referencing the GS situation.
I just had an update from the scheduling committee this morning that they have negotiated some agreement with CS in how PB will be applied in these situations. Apparently there will be a Scheduling Alert published on the topic.
