Duty Credit goes on the day flown, so if the first day of the trip will generally pay a minimum of 2:00 because of that.

Similar question but reverse scenario. How does a GS pay if you’re a line holder this month but the last day of the GS is in the next month and you’re on reserve X days next month? I think this month is GS double pay and everything flown and credit time on the last day is paid above reserve guarantee and you get a PB day for that last day. I’m currently on day one of a three day GS that pays 15.54 with 1.58 of credit.

It's actually the date the FDP started, adjusted to pilot base time.
Example:
NYC based pilot reports for red eye at 2200L Cali time on 1 May (last day of April bid period). That 2200 report time is actually 0100L NYC on 2 May (first day of May bid period) so that entire FDP pays in May.

With regard to the "paid in the month the leg started", kind of....

Well, bases that are properly staffed will have a decent number of blue days since they won’t be dragged down by the same fleet in other bases being in the toilet. Bases that are already in the toilet won’t see much change.

Yeah I’m just curious how many categories are actually well staffed….especially in the NB world.
