DL Hiring: New Process

Agreed.
Side note, on some fleets the GSs are more likely on weekends. Rather than stacking all Xdays days at the beginning of the month, if you want to roll thunder, and you’re willing to work weekends, you’ll need to get/move Xdays over weekends (seniority dependent, of course) and snag GSs then.

Yes, you're correct. I forgot that a GS (even on RES) is pay, no credit. So you're getting the pay above guarantee but no credit towards reserve guarantee. Thus, you can't "fill up" like I had said.

Most days until I got a line, that didn’t take long. If I saw the writing on the wall, I would yellow slip and try and pick my own poison. Such as if I had 4 days, and there was a 4 day, I’d get that. That way I wasn’t stuck with a bunch of 1 days and footing my own hotel/crash pad costs.

From briefly looking thru the bid package for Nov, they claim that about 30-40% of the trips are "commutable" on both ends.

Looking for some advice on having an internal rec submitted via AirlineApps. I have 1 internal that was submitted prior to the recommendation changes (emailing Delta vs just submitting via AirlineApps). Never heard anything back from them as this was prior to any TPIC and pre covid (guess a good sign? not sure) It has now been over a year since that person submitted my information for an internal rec. I have another internal rec ready to be submitted. I have just above 300 hours of TPIC. I understand that once they look at the application they won't look at it again / score it again for another year right? If thats correct should I hold off having the internal submitted until I have a little bit more TPIC? Or "you never know what could happen" and have it submitted and potentially be waiting a year for them to look at my app as I don't currently have competitive flight hours. It appears most people getting the invite are around 1k TPIC and higher. But as we all know things can change quickly. It sounds like I should just submit the internal rec and hope for the best. Thoughts?

Wow! So you're saying there's a chance... What other hiring stats do you have that you think got you the interview? Like I mentioned it seems most guys are above 1k TPIC so that is amazing to hear you got the offer.
