Reading through this forum and it seems that the time between the Top Tier email and Assessment Invite has recently gone up. This has made me curious if the average time between Applying and receiving the Top Tier email has also recently gone up. While I completely understand that the timeline greatly varies and is dependent on the applicant, I still find myself curious what the recent timeline for people receiving the Top Tier email has looked like. Anyone care to share? I applied early August. Thanks in advance!

Smile AA to DL

Good Afternoon,

I am currently commuting at AA and I’m looking into making a switch to Delta. I received the “top tier” email a couple of months ago. I see the timeline may be a few months to receive an assessment? I am also looking for any advice for the entire interview process, to be competitive for the DAL hiring panel. Thank you in advance!

Everyone who reached out in PM's, I really appreciate the overview on the entire process. Thank you again!

For those applying from other legacy airlines, how long is it taking to hear back? Anyone get the call while still in training at a different legacy?

I heard back with the top tier email very quickly. I’m just patiently waiting on receiving the assessment, close to three months now.

Hey all. I recently interviewed and received a CJO from DAL. I know it’s been asked a million times; I understand New York is a junior base, but I have been told Minneapolis is being awarded to new hires. Is Atlanta being awarded to new hires? I live on the east coast, so Atlanta would be my go to. What time frame could I anticipate to hold Atlanta? Is equipment being offered random per class, or has it been rather steady (same amount of 320/737)?

TIA for any info. I’m really excited to come over!

You can hold Atlanta pretty much if not on your new hire bid by the first advanced entitlement bid. What this means is youll either be ATL based right out of the gate, or shortly after you complete OE in most cases.

Class drops have been pretty random base wise but limited to 717, 220, 320, 737, and 7ER fleet wise. Congrats and welcome to Delta!
