Thank you to those that replied about the reserve questions.
Can anyone chime in on this question? My buddy has the Covid vax exemption. If he bid an international category, what would be his restrictions, etc? He’s looking at NYC ER. Would his work life be miserable, complicated and just overall not feasible to be in that domicile and category with a vax exemption?

NYC Commute/RSV 7ERA vs 73NA
Current Captain on the 737 coming over soon, and curious what would provide for a better QOL?
Hypothetically if I were commuting from another senior base to NYC to get a fast upgrade, would I be better off holding out for the 7ERA or staying on the 73NA (A role/plane I'm already comfortable with).
It's my understanding that the WB fleets get certain perks as far as stringing reserve days together, is that the same for the ER?
I'm assuming the plug for most fleets in NYC gets reserve?
Thanks!

Generally, the 73 Captain is senior to the 7ER, recent bids have been a little wonky from historical norms though.
The plug does not always get Reserve, especially on WB fleets. NB is much more likely, but NY is the biggest NH base, so you won’t stay the plug for long as an FO.
FWIW, there has been much debate about how junior captain will go on various fleets in the medium term. I would not necessarily expect recent trends to become the norm. Good luck.
