I received a soul crushing email about 36 hrs later with: Thank you for you interest in a pilot position with Delta Air Lines. Unfortunately, you were not successful in the assessment portion and we are unable to move forward with your application at this time. We are not able to share or discuss the results of the assessments.

I hear that’s been common, that the success rate on this assessment hasn’t been great. I wonder if it continues that it will have to get tweaked again.

I’m curious does the invite for the assessment have a time limit? I benefited greatly from having a month to prep and feel comfortable with the tests prior to showing up. The excitement of an invite and not prepping the same way for the interview day may be hampering the results. I feel this is a true problem with online school/testing in general. Your desk at home is not a testing site to your psyche, it’s your home, easy to not be in the right head space for the evaluation.

Best of luck to those invited, don’t give up on Delta, plenty of success stories here on second attempts.

Sorry to hear that. Again I have been practicing a bit on the Cut-E and some exercises are difficult specifically the monitoring ability, multi tasking, and applied numeracy. Medium difficulty is fair but on hard they are next to impossible. Furthermore I truly hope complex control isn’t on the test as that was a total joke.

Once you get the initial email, you have 7 days to complete the assessment.

It looks like Hilton is right across the street and the easiest place to stay. When are you interviewing?

I’ve heard the opposite, in fact of the 3 pilots I know who have taken the assessment all have passed (2 mil, 1 civ).
My guess is they’re not willing to lower that standard as long as people are successfully passing. Nor should they…it’s way too early in the game to be doing that with how many pilots are going to be hired in the next several years. No point in lowering standards for the tip of the spear of pilot hiring.
