Say if you get awarded NYC220 and you want anything ATL, you'll have to wait a year before you can bid out to another fleet type. Positive space commuting during the suckiest part of your time at Delta can really make a big difference.
He can bid to ATL immediately on a category that either is unavailable in NYC or that he can’t hold in NYC on that bid. 717 being the likely aircraft if he wants to move ASAP.

By ASAP, Sailing means after 1 year, minimum. Not including the lag in actually getting converted after the bid... We seem to be having 4-5 bids a year over the last 3 years, so you’d have to have some luck to bid “out” of an undesirable base right at that 1-year point. It could easily approach 2 years after hire date before conversion if that bid is a 365 day conversion window.

The only immediately available bid options are a base change on the same aircraft.

...or the first time Capt upgrade silver bullet. With NB A slots going as junior as they have, that might even become a thing once again. 😁

Friends, don't go hating on this Atlanta landmark. They've only killed a few customers with their "fresh" oysters. Most have survived. These are trucked up semi-daily from the trailwaters of Georgia's clean nuclear, fertilizer plants and refineries along the coast. With traffic these pearls go from muck to truck to your butt in 18 to 24 hours.

If you use hotsauce as a marker at least you will know when the worst has passed and can risk eating solid food again.

Malone's and Grecian Gyro. They're the only two worth mentioning.

Dude, PitBoss. Although I agree with your 2 faves. The new build your own pizza place (think Mod) is worth your time and $ too.

Don't forget breakers for cheap beer and football on the tv (especially if youre slum crashpad doesn't have cable!)

Can you share what you did to prepare for the assessment? I just got a letter asking to take it.
