How often does DL send out assessments? Someone in passing mentioned it was every Monday evening..not sure if that’s true or not.

I received my invitation to do the assessment last Monday and the link for the assessment was sent the next day. Completed Saturday evening but have not heard anything yet.

I had a Monday 130p slot and got the assessment invite Tuesday at 9a, with the login and password email following slightly after midnight. Planning to take it tonight or Friday.

There should be copies in the dumpster behind the OCC. Scheduling just threw out of all of theirs.

My Delta Experience
Long time listener. First time caller. I guess I just wanted to encompass my experience into one post, so please feel free to stop reading if you aren’t in the application process. I definitely welcome any feedback.
I submitted and began updating my Delta app with airline apps in August of 2021 with what we will say has been a 1 August 2022 availability date (mil background, reasonably expected to separate fall 2022).
I got my first and only “fix it” email on December 10 2021 from [email protected] that was very to the point. The subject was “incomplete education information” and they told me I hadn’t put my high school GPA in the application.
I then received an email on Tuesday, March 1st, inviting me to complete the online assessment, and it said I had 7 days to complete it. I practiced some sudoku online, but that was about it. I sat down and completed the assessment on Saturday, March 5th. There’s a lot of good info on here about that assessment, so I won’t get into that.
I didn’t hear anything for over 7 days, so I sent one email in accordance with the instructions to check up on the status. On 16 March, I received the email inviting me to call to set up a date to interview. I called one time to the number provided, left my message as instructed in the email (they’re real busy right now) and waited. 22 hours later on 17 March, they called me back and we scheduled my interview for the earliest available date, 3 May. They asked if I’d like them to book my flights out there, which I did.
On 30 Mar I got a confirmation of interview email as well as a booked itinerary on Delta airlines to fly me to Atlanta on 2 May (day before interview) and fly me back on the evening of 3 May (same day as interview).
**Interview Day**
Showed up at 0615 (no later than 0645 per instructions) at the northern most entry gate to Delta World HQ (south of the intersection of Delta Blvd and N Inner Loop Rd) and was told where to go by the security guard (east of that guard gate is where you check in and get your visitor badge, then walk south outside to the next set of doors on your left) . All candidates (23 of us I believe) mingle until 0645 when we get started. First thing was paperwork/proof of negative Covid test. Make sure to bring copies of everything they ask for in the interview confirmation email. Next was figuring out the schedule. Had a few blocks of time- 0800, 1000, and 1200. Those blocks were to accomplish two things: the MMPI (approximately 569 questions, took me over an hour… advice, just be yourself and answer honestly) and the panel interview. I will say they are definitely making an effort to put you at ease, because you wouldn’t have made it to that point if they didn’t think you were a good candidate for Delta on paper. They want to know your personality and if you’re somebody they want to work with for an entire career. Most people were done with those two things by the end of the 1000 block, but some (maybe 4?) had their panel interview at 1200. For those done first, we found out if we got a CJO around 1145. Those that interviewed at 1200 found out I believe by 1300. If you don’t get the CJO, you leave. If you get the CJO, you start with some more paperwork (finger print, driving record, PRIA stuff) and then wait around for 3 things: Fingerprinting (it’s all digital, no ink), Drug test (pee in a cup), and the zoom-style Psych evaluation (it’s a conversation with a psychologist that works for Delta). Once you were done with those 3 things, you could leave.
For those curious we were 21/23 for getting a CJO yesterday.
Overall good/organized experience. The day was definitely a long one… I think I was one of the last to leave and it was after 1600. I changed out of my suit in one of the bathrooms there at pilot hiring and then went to the airport to catch my flight.
A lot of info for one post, but hopefully it’s useful to at least one person. If not, my bad. Good luck to everyone!
