I received a CJO last Thursday, March 3rd. I accepted the CJO online that evening and filled out all of the other emailed forms that day as well.

Can anyone give a decent hack on the timeline to start indoc? I have a mil background so hoping the background check process goes faster than standard.

Thanks!

Most in my Indoc class waited between 3-5 weeks with a few outliers that had delayed background checks. I was prior mil as well and it was just over 4 weeks from CJO to class date.

Call Cisive once a week to verify the status of your background check. They aren’t always on top of it and, if nothing else, it reminds them to pull your name up.

Bring and submit everything. Or call the hiring office and ask. Couple dudes in my interview group had a missing OPR or two by accident and the hiring folks caught it. They got CJOs still but had to submit those within 24/48hrs or something. If you’re missing stuff like that, it could be viewed like you’re hiding something.

So once we know we are actually in the “yes” room, would it be poor taste to call HR of the current airline to give two weeks notice? Asking for a friend.

Well it took about 3 weeks for them to rescind my CJO.

"That's a bold move Cotton..." I wouldn't. I know a guy that got a CJO and had it pulled for something said in the psych interview later in the day. Don't put in your two weeks until you get the class date. Wouldn't be too classy, imo. You'll have 2-4 weeks notice before your class date.

Any mil people get offered a CJO, but then have mil orders pop up? Is there a time frame on the CJO or is there some kind of accommodation for mil orders?

They used to ask about availability in the process. Given the state and rate of hiring if military orders pop up I would do everything in my power to get them canceled. If you can’t they will delay your class.

It sounds like you just lost a bunch of seniority... I am sorry to hear this. Ouch!

The aircraft movement can be done pretty quickly, so just make sure you have a good system of going through it. On the real one though, it is a little bit different. Make sure you hold down the mouse key so that the aircraft stops moving after you line it up. That will give you a little extra time to solve the others. I thought I blew it and I got the invite.

How long was it between assessment and invite? And if we blow the assessment do we get a tbnt?
