Makes me think the personality is weighted pretty heavily. I certainly didn't give it much thought, but just did like I always do on personality tests and tried to stay as neutral as possible.

Thanks for the kind words, and I will most likely reapply down the road. I am just in shock. I am always trying to be at the top of my game. AF Test Pilot, thousand combat hours, selected to top competitive schools during my career, etc. I am getting out because I am ready to dial it back a notch and honestly live a better life. Being a female has always made me work extra hard to keep up with my pilot brethren etc. I am just surprised to have the door slammed in my face by such a subjective, impersonal screening. I am ranting here, I know. I answered with my gut instinct, and was honest. Maybe too honest lol. I was consistent, or so I thought. Good luck to all those who made it past this crazy screening, and to those that have yet to embark, I wish you the best. Hoping to hear back from the other players I have my apps in at and will hope for better results.

Cheers

Every airline has turned away candidates who would have made excellent employees (and every single one has hired some goobs too). Unfortunately it is just the nature of how the screening system works. Overall it produces great candidates for employment but it's not perfect by any means. I have no doubt that someone will hire you. Maybe Delta, maybe someone else. You've just gotta keep firing away until something hits.

As a high performing / highly successful career pilot, it can be quite a blow. Just realize most any “negative” can be turned around into a positive, especially when it comes to hiring - here or elsewhere. Keep a healthy perspective in future interviews, and you’ll have a great story to show resilience.

If another major hires you in the interim, just remember you can still get hired here later.

But still, it sucks. Sorry for that. Best of luck.

If a hot-sh1t aviator like you failed the test, it makes me feel a little better about my failure! Hopefully we both get another shot in 6 months, and make it through this time.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
My interview date is the 11th... Just got the suit, working through the required docs checklist. Pretty excited, hard to wait 2 months!

Sorry, I didn't expound much on this. Yes, I also try my best to be consistent and honest. I also tend to stray from the extreme ends of the answers. I feel that it keeps me from painting myself into a corner when I'm not consistent in answering the questions. Truth be told, I tend to glaze over a little on personality tests, they bore me to no end. Especially the way the new test is set up... I was just glad to be through what I thought was the "hard part" and had to force myself not to let my guard down. Didn't want to let myself think of the personality as an afterthought, because it's easy to do.

Wish I knew what to tell you here. I just checked at an FTU last week. My EP was a WIC grad leaving AD that told me in the debrief he had gotten the TBNT after the cog test. Much more qualified than me. I'd be shocked If you haven't interviewed and gotten hired somewhere else at the end of your waiting period.

lol the first thing you have to do is learn that none of that matters at the airlines. Whether you pass an airline's screening/interview process has little to do with who you were/whatever you did in the military, so don't take it personally. At the same time, don't hold it against the company. It's a dumb process, but Delta is still a great place to work.

But seriously, nobody cares about who you were/what you did in the military, unless they are actively asking (and even that's not always the case; I sometimes pretend to be interested in whatever the left seater is droning on about because it can make a four day easier to get through). Especially if you are/were an AF O-6, you're already starting from behind thanks to the number of toolish "call me colonel" types who have graciously paved the way for you

At least you didn’t have to take a JKT or a Cog in person.

Try again in 6 months, it’s not the end of the world. Everybody is hiring like crazy.
