In year past (pre-covid), they would normally have one giant Indoc class than ran the first two weeks of Dec, so no Indoc over Christmas.
However, the sims run almost 365...they are closed on Christmas, but I think I read somewhere recently of someone who was starting their IQ sims on the 26th, so depending on the start time, maybe a travel day late on the 25th.

Fleet choices
Is it new delivery schedules, quicker seniority, shorter reserve, a type you're familiar with, trip pairings or something else?
Any intel would be appreciated. My understanding is that they don't give you more than a day to submit your choices, so advance knowledge is required.

Still almost three months away from my class, but wondered what's the logic behind the order of the top choices?

Others will take any plane offered that allows them to drive to work and not commute.
I wouldn’t spend too many brain bytes trying to figure it out...you'd be chasing a ghost.
You can't control what the people senior to you are going to choose. Figure out which planes/bases work best for YOU, and rank order them...that's all you can do.

Logic differs with each person. Some want to go straight to International so they bid ER. Some want seniority quicker they take the 717 or 220.

This. I went with most likely quickest to Atlanta. One individual is our group obviously went for money because they mentioned how much more they will make over the 220/717 peeps. So want to get to a west coast domicile. Don’t try to figure it out. Just bud what works for you and enjoy. Remember that seat lock is generally two years (from my understanding there is a few ways around that) and first year pay is the same across the board. I know there will be plenty of movement in the next two years and with all the hiring I should have more flexibility in what I can bid and hold Atlanta.
Bottom line try to get what you want and don’t try to figure out what the other 47 peeps in you class are trying to do.

If I want to get to widebody ASAP, is there any particular initial drop I should prioritize to help facilitate that? I was thinking 320 since it would make for an easy transition to 330. Does the 2 year seat lock mean I couldn’t bid widebody until after 2 years?

I’m pretty sure that’s that’s not a factor and I don’t think you could get into the 330 at two years for looking at the seniority charts but I guess a lot of stuff could change.
