Any advice for what to bid to maximize EWR trips for a pilot who lives in Philadelphia? Just thinking ahead to minimize drives further in to NYC if I were able, small potatoes really, I get that fleet changes and whatnot will make it vary greatly but any guidance would be appreciated!

Currently nearly all mainline flights are on the 73. As you stated, that can change... Good luck.

73N. Everyone else bids to avoid EWR, so you should be able to get most trips from there right off the bat.

as others have said, 73N. Lots of EWR trips in the bid package and looking through open time it appears no one wants to fly them. Some decent overnights out of there too. But lots of early shows and late releases so not many takers

Thanks all for the advice! I mean I keep hearing the “bid the bus and don’t look back” thing but shaving 2+ hrs of driving/wk off my life is tempting

Asking for a friend - Has Delta hired anyone recently who is not military but has less than 3000 hours? Mostly 135 with a little 121 mixed in.

Yes those unicorns are out there. No I have no idea how they got it. I wish i knew the formula, I'd have loved to have been her ten plus years ago. They appear to be off the wall people, just random dart board hires to experiment with lots of different perspectives. For you, probably gonna need to hit the job fair circuit and sell yourself.

Look at the NYC320 bid package for November. Several pages of EWR trips. But at least they aren’t commutable!!!

717 ATL vs any NYC (minus 220)? I’ve heard NYC is tough on commutability. Ultimate goal is to be in ATL long term…

How often is Delta running classes, and what are the sizes? Is it weekly?
