Lots of older pilots have mentioned their only options in indoc were 727C or 737 express B, but in some cases it only took a few months before they could bid another position. I’ve flown with more than a couple pilots hired in 96-97 who told me they were 7ER B s before they were off probation.
I can only imagine the (even worse) training nightmare we would have had post Covid if NH did not have a seat lock.

from discussions with pilots from before 2014, NH used to not have a seat lock. I think that is a huge part of the reason.

Starting Indoc in about 5 weeks. So with seat locks for a lot of people expiring soon is it silly to bid WB (if a spot is even available) considering I might get displaced or just take the WB spot if it’s available? Would I be displaced if someone Senior to me bid for the ER?
