New Hire Class Drops
#4212
What is the current # of pilots on your seniority list? I've seen ranges from around 14 to 16K. Widget seniority shows 13600 with a projection of 14400 but lists me as 16400 if I was to start class in June. That's a pretty big difference when trying to determine potential seniority progression. Any truth data on what the actual current # is? Thanks.

Here, I'll take a crack at it:
15524 on April 4.
Lets say that your class is the 3rd class in June.
avg 40 per class
3 classes hired in April (1st April class was already on the list) = 120
4 classes hired in May = 160
2 classes hired in June before your class = 80
Puts you around 15884 (15524+120+160+80). Maybe a little lower due to retirements.

Award came out 1-2 days after the end of bid.
This all took place the week prior to Indoc.

For my class it was about 48 hours to bid (maybe a bit more.) Bid email Tuesday morning, selection due Thursday (might have been evening.) Timing may vary, but I doubt they give less than 2 full days to make your bid.
