Finally, just to get a little peace and quiet, I pointed out that NWA 757s had been flying to AMS & LHR out of JFK/BOS and other places for years now, and the DTW 757s had been bouncing around the Pacific out of NRT for at least a few years since they opened the short runway there.
Dude looked at me like my dog watches TV. He was caught up in some kind of internal processing loop or error, because he knew that couldn't be true, because he'd been told to be mad about it by his "sources", yet here I was with my pocket log ready to show him. His "sources" who told him he should be mad about it would then be wrong. There just wasn't anyway for him to back out of it.
He went all quiet after that, so, mission accomplished.

We are losing OGG and KOA in April. PPT will be gone until Oct31 as well. We were supposed to start HNL-HND in March and they’ve gut that route now as well.
We do a lot of other HNL routes though, some of them 3 man. JFK/MSP/SLC
Latin America - SJO/SAL/GUA
big transcon machine to DCA/BOS/JFK (a lot)
During summer there will be some Europe rotations, not sure how many but the base has grown a lot so I assume more. Some months we’ve had 40-60 pairings. Most months we get 3-4 Europe pairings because we’ve had so much Hawaii block hours.
during NBA/NHL a lot of charter flying. There’s some bad trips in packets going to ATL and doing the 3 leg day stuff up and down Florida or Charleston/MSY etc. As junior guy you can expect that kinda stuff.
If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me. I’ve been on fleet here about 1.5 years now but I am senior so I don’t have a huge grasp on what junior guys are doing. The flying will also be changing this summer because we have lost a lot of Hawaii block hours. Better now that we still have some other long haul HNL, but what fills the gaps is yet to be seen, and the base is growing rapidly so I’m very curious about what’s next. I know our Atlantic flying on ER this summer is due to be massively larger than last few years.
