bit of hyperbole. 765 guys are getting more variety than that. ZRH currently, GVA when it launches. NCE for the season, EZE in October and so on. Yeah less variety than the ER, but with the new TA something like $50/hr more for the trouble. As far as seniority goes, it’s 90%+ international, have friends hired on the ER within the last year who can’t hold a 100% intl schedule yet, but spoke to newhires on the 765 who are already within 70% range.
I also have no problems with LHR/CDG a million times a year as I’m bidding the 330 this year. The variety on that west coast is not very existent when you compare bases to NYC. If you can be in NYC and fly a widebody, you have so many options at your finger tips that 75% of this airline will never see in our career (unless we come to NYC)

I’ve been here 3 years and I’m 66% on that in NYC. So I don’t know how much of the ZRH/NCE/GVA a new hire could expect. I don’t see that going up by much with the last TA either. You’re right, London and Paris was more sarcasm. They have some others. ZRH has swapped back and forth from ER last year, granted last year it did the entire airliners LHR besides SLC and I don’t think that remains. I just meant I’d pick ER variety of Europe but sounds like poster already been there and done that.

66% on a 764 after 3 years is wild as well. I wish I could see pre COVID data, because I bet that took a lot longer than 3 years to be there in Jan 2020!

Plenty of ZRH, and probably NCE after the page 1 guys get their fill. HNL went senior first month, but by the second it was attainable at the bottom half here and there. ATH FCO FRA comes and goes, MXP was around during December, BCN pops up. There’s definitely variety, and as said, you’re getting 40k+ more a year for the same work in a nicer cockpit. Good thing is there’s something for everybody. I’ve chatted with 764 guys who want the extra pay, and ER guys who want the variety.

Yeah we just snagged back HNL on ER. My guess is 764’s needed for Atlantic flying now that we are approaching spring break and summer. I have done that one a few times and have one at end of the month, mostly go in our LAX bid packets. Looks like 60% tile right now is 10.6 and was 9.6 in March20. Only difference from then and now is to get to 10k it took almost double the years, we got an artificial 2k bump from Covid. Good problems to have…

I already did on this past AE. They didn’t break my lock. I figured I’d get it since they broke seat locks on the previous AE. Guess they need more on the ER this summer.

Just scrolled through the last 30 pages to try and find the answer to this but couldnt...which should tell me all I need to know haha, but anyone know when the last time a msp base was available to a new hire class? Or any expectation for that to happen any time soon?

However, in the last AE l, nearly any pilot on property was able to bid into MSP, so there is a decent chance it wouldn’t take too long. YMMV.

It has happened, but only once or twice. I don’t recall what the most recent bid left vacant, but I would not expect it anytime soon for NH’s, as MSP is one of the most senior bases.

Throughout the last 4-5 AEs anybody who has wanted MSP has gotten it. Lots of MSP330 movement has created lots of MSP320 movement.
The last AE had 30 320B posted, with 25 awarded, but 22 bid out. Still lots of openings.
