For a new hire who lives west of NY would the 737 or the a320 have more chance of having some trips leave from Ewr vs the other airports? Is the a220 only fly out of LGA? Thanks

Eh I think it will be back to normal after the AE closes, there is going to be some movement after this AE closes.

There are no set numbers when they post a drop. They’ll try as best as they can to match people’s bids on the drop with training capacity. The numbers that each class got awarded will be posted a day or two before the class starts.

Do you know when that will be? 2/14 class looking for those 330 drops

Hard to say exactly, but I would assume you can expect the leftovers after the 16th. So maybe the 17th class or the 24th.

"We may not fill all the posted positions during the AE award process. In addition, we may limit the number of backfills"

No one really knows what will be leftover and or available after the fact.

Depends

When I first started on the 737, we had the fewest departures out of EWR compared to JFK and LGA. Now, it's 37JFK, EWR, then LGA.

NYC 737 has the best domestic flying in the company IMHO. DL uses the 737 out of NYC to do all the Caribbean flying, so lots of AUA, SDQ, STI, PUJ, SJU, etc layovers and a lot of times those trips are just one leg and done on day 1. a typical 3 day would be one leg down day 1, turn to JFK and back to DR on day 2, then one leg back on day 3.

220 does all 3 bases, but EWR is the smallest amount of rotations with LGA being the most rotations.

Company is still taking deliveries of 220-300's and we have about 30 ex Lion air 737-900's showing up too, so no telling how network changes fleet strategy as time goes on.
