The 765 is the 767-400. 777 displays. Fairly newer. Mostly long-haul international to Europe/SA.

The 7ER is all other versions of the 757/767. Older. Steam gauges and first-generation EFIS. Flies everywhere.

Aha, cool thanks, i didn't realize they were separated. I thought all 75s and 76s were together.

ER you will be flying mostly domestic or Latin America, little Hawaii (losing Maui, Kauai and Kona except in winter months), or South America year round. Europe if you bid NYC (seasonal in summer). Lots of short legs out of ATL too. Sports charters as well (mostly NBA and NHL). Has LAX best for west coast.

767-400 is said to be moving back to 90%+ international so you will be doing Europe almost exclusively and some transcon. Only NYC/ATL based. Believe it’s going to be a lot of London and Paris etc. some more leisure destinations occasionally.

Take pay rate and x 1000 of credit for the year…good rule of thumb that works for any category.

About $23.50/hr on year 3 pay....+/- international override. 😁

Ehhh, as a single seat guy, airline ops are stupid easy. I don’t really think a single seat person should avoid anything solely because they didn’t fly a multi-crewed plane in the mil.
I don’t necessarily disagree, there’s a reason I’m going on 15 years and still in the right seat but as someone like yourself who’s been around a little bit and looking to get to the 330, you have a different perspective. I’ve been mentoring military pilots for 20 years, advice not taken is still advice. And thank you for yours. Cheers.

Good info thx, recently got a CJO, mid to upper SSN, and coming from a ACMI operating 76’s. Was wondering what the general scheds were like for those categories. (Understanding routes and scheds change monthly). Good breakdown. 👍

What does life look like for a NH or extremely junior on the 330B out of NYC? Assuming that individual lives within a 1.5 hours of NYC. Curious about the QOL / schedule.

I’ve posted about it before, but I can speak for NYC ER (767-300, 757-200 and 757-300) best flying in the entirety of delta in my opinion. Lots of double commutable 3 day europe trips that you can hold around 40-50%, lots of easy 2 day transcons that go junior (commuters don’t like them, non commutable). South America, some florida shuttle stuff if you like to do lots of landings, and you can spice things up with neat sports charters. Pretty much something for anyone. I have no idea why anyone would bid the 737 or the bus out of NYC if they had a choice.

I'm not sure when you get access to Deltanet. But I would peruse the bid packages and awards for due diligence.

7ER: NYC, ATL, SEA, LAX. (SEA will eventually close.)
765 (or 764 depending on where you look -- we can't even be consistent): NYC, ATL.

You will get senior faster in the ER. You will be senior faster in NYC. But there are no bad trips on the -400 if long haul is your thing.
