Bid it and have fun guys!
Even if you don’t live near NYC bid it. I commute from ATL and I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had in my career. Plus it’s around $30 more second year pay. There were 58 unfilled positions on the last AE, so if you can get on it soon you won’t be the plug for long.

I’d never base-base commute personally. For me, no plane is worth it. To each their own!

That's the beauty of this job. There is something for everyone. For me personally it's been great even with the commute. My opinion might change now that positive space is gone, but I'm always just a bid away from getting back to ATL if needed.

Barf. The 320 is a salt mine.

Ehhh, as a single seat guy, airline ops are stupid easy. I don’t really think a single seat person should avoid anything solely because they didn’t fly a multi-crewed plane in the mil.

100% man. I left another major for DL because of the variety and I don’t regret it for a second.

What could a guy on year two pay expect to gross as a NYC 330B flying 14 days a month or bidding reserve? It’d be all international I assume so add in the $4.50 override.

Looks like year 2 pay is $168/hr and the min reserve guarantee is 72 hours, so you'll gross at least $12000. That doesn't include international override or per diem so it will actually be a little more than that. Plus some months the reserve guarantee will be higher than 72 hours.

I know the destinations would be a little different, but could one expect a similar schedule out of ATL on the 350B?

True. However, if you are a long time WB FO and plan on upgrading, you aren't as good as you think you are. Going to the 320 or even the ER (and flying a lot) be a really good idea. If your don't, there is a really good chance you suck at airline ops.

Could someone please explain the difference between 765B and 7ERB? Thanks!
