When we get our category assignments I’ll post the details (or someone else will). Probably this weekend.

To each their own. Thank goodness we have a little of everything here but I really am shocked to see these 350Bs go unbid if that’s actually what happened.
Isn't year 2 the big pay bump? I thought everyone in the first year made haze pay regardless of equipment. That's a very efficient way to operate the new whale, panda, whatever. Profit sharing baby!

Indeed it is. I was just highlighting the reasons I’d be shocked if there weren’t seven people who would prefer to be flying the Panda out of DTW instead of flying NBB somewhere else. My hunch is that there are probably hundreds of pilots who would have liked to make the jump if management didn’t have the industry’s most management-friendly seat locks. Same will be true if 330B goes to new hires with pilots thousands of numbers senior fenced off.

Perhaps we should rekindle the “what does it mean to be able to hold a category” debate that went on for pages a few years ago. As of next week everyone can “hold” 350B, right??? If I were a west coast 2022 hire commuting to 717, I’d probably start punching people in the mouth if I heard that misleading mantra for two years.

Someone from the 27th received the class date of 10/18 yesterday afternoon. That’s the latest I’ve seen.

Wednesday seems to be the day of days. Has anyone gotten assignments other days?

Don’t worry, you’ll want to complain when the company figures out a way to delay 350B positions for another 3 AE’s in DTW then after that all the senior people above you will see how junior it went and jump in front of you for another year. After that you’ll get awarded it on a one year bid and train in the last month. Meaning you could be 3 years away from flying the line on a 350. By then the company’s four corner strategy takes full effect and you’ll be commuting to Boston if you want to fly a 350 with trips bridging through Detroit to Nagoya. Kidding but not really, totally possible.
