I’ve gotta think it’s the seat locks. Highest paying category, 100% commutable, efficient trips - I’d take that commute over slogging it out in the narrowbody trenches any day. 48 hours TAFB for 15:45 top rate pay plus international override, 2 legs total and a 24 hour layover in AMS to eat/sleep/work out to your heart’s content vs 15:45 lower rate non-commutable 3-day/69 hrs TAFB, 12 legs and two short layovers?
To each their own. Thank goodness we have a little of everything here but I really am shocked to see these 350Bs go unbid if that’s actually what happened.

When I got hired they called out names, all the names he called out (the vast majority of us) went into a separate room together where they told us that we had got hired. The 3-4 who didn't were outside and could hear us all celebrating. Then they called them into rooms one at a time to tell them they didn't get the job. I felt horrible for those guys.

as someone in the bottom 2k and with a bid in for any 350B base and being seat locked this is very frustrating. But it is what it is!

I’m in the same boat! I’m near 11,500 seniority and am seat locked for a few more months. I was one of those who bid it but couldn’t get it awarded. Can’t complain tho! I like the idea of junior folks below me. Anyone have a guess on how many new hires will get the 350?
