you will pick from the options they give you (which were leftover from the last AE) and be able to bid base changes on this AE. But since you are seat locked you cannot bid another airframe.

I will also add that the 8/23 class will in all likelihood not get their drops early. Since they will be starting class after this AE is awarded (I'm assuming the company will have the awards out by the 23rd), then they have to use unawarded positions from this current AE. The 8/23 class will probably end up getting their drop and doing their bidding all on day 1 of indoc.

It does not affect your drop/initial award at all. You will still be offered open positions from the last awarded AE. What it DOES do, however, is allow you to bid on this AE since you will be on property prior to closing. So it will allow you to bid for a base change on your initially awarded aircraft if you so desire.

Realistically it will have a very minimal impact on your drop. The only way it would significantly affect it is if there's some very unexpected unfilling of certain prime vacancies. Think unfilled captain positions, or 330/350 FO spots. The classes that started after the last AE was awarded gained the benefit of seeing the 767-400 in some drops when that hadn't happened before. Having said all that, expect your drop to tilt heavily towards 737 and 320 positions, with a smattering of 717, 220, and 757 spots. Mostly NYC with probably some other bases thrown in as well, just like the vast majority of drops have been for the past year.

I would also amnend your fleet prediction in that it looks like there will be very few, if any, unfilled 220B slots after this AE, but there will be a ton of 7ER.
