New Hire Class Drops
#2302
May have overlooked, but what is the flying like for the 320 and 737 out of ATL? Any big differences between the two fleets?
Currently flying the 320 and ATL is the easiest/closest commute for me.
Flew the 767 at previous carrier, but heard they seniority progression might be slower on that fleet as well?
Thanks!

A320 vs 737 vs 717 in DTW, can anyone give me an idea about what to expect for different routes? Schedules? Available G.S opportunities? QOL with a Line vs Reserve? Specifically looking to be DTW so thats my number 1 priority, a/c is second but I don't know what to expect for any of these aircraft. Thanks for any insight in advance!

Both ATL320B and ATL73NB are the shortest staffed seats in the airline at the moment. All the Green Slips you want - especially over the weekends - up to FAR 117 limits. Mostly 3 or 4 day trips with 3 legs/12 hour layover -> 2 legs/15 hour layover -> 3 legs. All of the 5 day trips have a redeye at the end. Current seniority progression is good in the right seat of the 320 in Atlanta but past performance is no guarantee of future returns. The ATL320A trends very senior compared to other bases. Thank you for the recommendation on Widget Seniority. I signed up for a prospect account and I am trying to interpret the results. The default number given is 14469 and results in a NQ at every airframe in every base. In fact it remains that way until at least 13000, so the question is what is the right number to start with as a potential new hire.
Also one more, probably more important question. I don’t see any captain bids showing up until about 9000, which the site gives a projection of Feb 2033 for. Does that seem realistic, that it would take almost 12 years of seniority to hold a Captain seat?
Thanks !

Junior capt on 717 was a DEC 2019 hire, sen # about 11,660
A220 capt was 12,400, OCT 2021 DOH
