Not sure that CJO’s can get in. Flt Ops has said it’s over 1500 NH since restarting hiring.

1400 on the list right now plus another 200 or so April hires that are not reflected yet

plus some endeavor flows held back (about 60)

I’ve been paying for it for a little while now, but the front page of the site says new and prospective hires can sign up for free.

Anyway, I just looked it up, and I’m seeing 1,405 people hired since hiring restarted in June 2021 (April 2022 hires not accounted for).

When is the next AE?

We are looking at the next AE in May, and evaluating a follow-up bid in August.

The may bid will likely add the SEA 320 base with no 7ER displacements at this time. We will not backfill SEA 7ER attrition.

“The May (AE) will likely add the SEA320 with no 7ER displacements” - what does that mean exactly? As in, if one is a jr. ER FO?

Backfill attrition? That too…. What does that mean to the fresh ER FO?

It means that even if you are the most junior SEA ER FO, because there are no displacements, you won't be kicked out of the category against your will.

When an AE does contain a category displacement, then you can be kicked out of the category against your will.

What about being booted out of base? Say a jr SEA ER FO has no Issue with switching to 737 or A220 in SEA because location is the priority. Any guarantees the jr FO won’t have to relocate base? Does that make sense? Base- important, jet- not so much.

No guarantee, but a mandatory displacement let's you go to any seat your seniority can hold. You'll probably have a decent idea where you sit on other fleets.

Cannot happen. No one can displace another pilot on an AE award. They are only awarded a position if it’s open either via the company posting more positions or spots opening up by other pilots bidding out of the category.

So what if there’s nothing in base? Off to commuting to another base for reserve?
