New Hire Class Drops

I LOVE skiing in the Wasatch on Sundays. All the locals are in church, you can ski continuously from the top of the chairlift right down to the empty chairlift seat waiting for you at the bottom. There is no skiing like it anywhere else.
And anyone too drunk to have the foresight to buy beer on Saturday probably ought to spend Sunday sobering up anyway.

I can buy >5% ABV beer
I can buy alcohol on Sunday
I won’t get a potentially career ending DUI at .05 BAC
I can do things on Sunday
I don’t have to shovel snow
People seem to get hung up on the price of real estate, but buying California real estate made me more money than working at a major airline for my first several years. Treat it like an investment. There is a reason real estate is more expensive in California (because there is more demand for people wanting to live there).
Full disclosure, I do not live in SFO.

Also, why does your life seemingly revolve around alcohol?

also FYI: for the first time last year there was a decreasing population in California for the first time in half a century. Saying that in the same sentence as dissing Utah is comical. Shows a lot of ignorance on your part about real estate on the west coast, LOL. As a native Californian, please stay out there. I beg you to stay.

Hard to decide if the awful crowds on Saturdays make Sundays worthwhile, though. I guess it all depends on just when it dumps…

If you're already in CA, stay put, grass isn't greener (brown in winter). I also spoke with all the other Mountain West states, and they all agree that they suck and wish they were as nice as California.

Yes. Everyone please choose to live California. Happy cows AND happy people. Utah is no good. Terrible to raise a family. You can't smoke pot. Yes you can buy beer any day at a store or bar, but you have to go to a state liquor store to buy the stronger drinks, and they're closed Sundays! We don't have warm water beaches like San Francisco, and you should see the homeless in west SLC. Don't get me started on the crime in West Valley. Did you know snows too? Barf.
