Anyone over 6' would agree that the benefit of the 320 flight deck is a big deal for your overall enjoyment of the longer range trips which you'll quickly be bidding for....... Maybe not enough to make a major change, but if starting from scratch and your tall, unless you want to fly the 7er for a bit, stick with the bus.

Can confirm. I am tall and when I was deciding between the 320 and the 737, I was really on the fence. I looked at pay, relative seniority, bid packs, etc etc with just a passing thought to the ergonomics. Luckily, I had the opportunity to go sit in both seats down in sim land before deciding. After just a few minutes in the 737 seat, my mind was made up.

The Bus flight deck is quieter than the 73 but its still way too loud for headsets off and a blaring speaker and that 3 second air horn FA call "chime" on a transcon; that's redonk despite the fleet "culture" that insists on it.

I'm much taller and thicc'r than your example and the 73 is very tolerable although the Bus is better in that regard. Not worth a 10-30% relative BES hit though that's just silly.

Has anyone heard of new hires getting a vax accommodation for any reason?

The 800’s are on par with a CRJ in terms of cockpit noise. The 900’s are much quieter due to the VG’s in front of the window wipers.

Neither are as loud as the EMB-145.

Yeah. Youve gotta do your own legwork on it but yeah there are accommodations.

Which bus? The 738s are wind tunnels (not as bad as the -700s), but the 739s with VGs are quieter than the 319s/320s (which are quieter than 738s), but the 321s are quieter than them all.

The 321s would be great for transcon 6+ hour flights, but don’t have the range and the the 739s are tolerable for 2-3 hours but end up doing transcons and long Caribbean flights which get old real quick.

Maybe the 321Ns will rule them all, IDK .

Honestly it’s kind of a wash.

I just did 9:02 in a 320 yesterday. My back and butt are fine.

I think the seat is better than the ER but I can't stand up and stretch in the 320.
