per the AE memo, I wouldn’t bet on SEA7ER being much of an option at all going forward

With the way LAX is getting staffed with new hires and future AE posts, I'm wondering when SEA winds down if LAX and some of the other bases will pick up their flying. Until LAX starts its wind-down process

I live in Seattle, new hire. Would it be unwise to bid on the 320 in LAX/SLC in anticipation that it’ll be coming to SEA? Or is it not recommended to bid anything on company plans/rumors until they are official and delivering (320 to SEA for example). Bottom line, if west coast is available outside of SEA, should I take west coast, any jet, and hope for SEA and jet type swap on the next AE? Apologies up front if I’m mixing peas and carrots; trying to understand the lingo and process.

The only caveat to that would be the particulars of one's commute. If the only 73/220 they can get is NYC or ATL and they can get SLC/LAX 320 then maybe that's the better choice. Even if it resulted in commuting for a little bit longer, a few extra months of an easier commute may be better than any amount of transcon commuting.
