They got off rhythm like 2 weeks ago and now it's all jacked up.. Probably freaking out because they thought it was a smart idea to delay and shrink a bid for Omicron wave that's now over and augmented ops are coming back with no pilots to do it. Maybe looking for another JV to come in and help us out. Just another day at Delta.

Delta is my number 1, and I know things will change as time goes on, but just curious what my options could be for family and QOL if it were available to me now. Thanks!

It's impossible to tell what future results will be. But ATL is way more SR that NYC is.

Is it really years to hold a line in ATL? Movement is happening there quite quick.

Nah. I was hired in August and I would be 9 people away from the last line holder on the 73. Now to hold all or even most of your weekends off on the monthly bid is a seriously different story.

One thing to consider is that NB trips have gotten much worse in general and especially in NYC. While you may not like reserve, you can't get anything on day one before 10AM or Noon unless you ask for it. Junior lines in NYC are packed full of super early report/late release trips. Sometimes an orphaned day off then back at another early report/late release trip. Reserve to a base that is an easier commute for you may end up being a much better choice.

Yeah I'd say probably 5 to 6 years to hold every weekend off in atl/dtw/slc 320 or 73n, and then you're getting pretty awful trips. More like 6 to 7 years for msp. There's a reason there are so many senior nb FOs - it's about the only way you'll get quality time with your family. Take that quick upgrade and you won't be holding weekends or holidays off again until your kids are graduating college.

Is SEA the junior west cost base then looking at the widget seniority tool it definitely looks like it. Would you say a lot of the SEA crews are commuters?

LAX use to be more junior and I'd expect it to swing that way again eventually. Pre-covid it wasn't this junior so this is a new trending change. Then again 220 is new and 73N seemed to grow a lot there very randomly after the lionair announcement. Wouldn't shock me with that cost of living if it becomes like California bases with a lot of commuters and trending junior in the future.

the junior line holder in February for ATL73NB that did not have pre posted credit was a April 2018 hire. 112XX

A few people here and there got lines junior to that, but they had training/ vacation/ carry in pairings that allowed that to happen

Speaking of SEA commuting, are there lots of people that commute to the West Coast from ATL or DTW/NYC? With SEA trending more junior, perhaps it's easier given the quicker seniority advancement?

"Live where you want, domicile where you get seniority"?
