I assume MSP is a fairly senior base, so how would this affect a NH? Long time on reserve? Could you swap to ATL fairly quickly?

if we hire 3-4K pilots over the next 2 years like they are talking about, probably not a “long time”. But MSP is historically very senior. I imagine most NB B categories will be attainable by those on property on the next AE

I'm an honest, no BS kinda guy. No hidden agendas with me. I am by no means perfect either. Made plenty of mistakes in my day. Never stop learning.

Most of you guys just don't agree with my stance on this nations policies surrounding the china flu. I am outspoken about it. You shouldn't let that cloud your judgement. TFWIW

Sure, I like to jab and poke a lot. I am crass. No doubt.

Contractually I want to see this pilot group gain significant improvements over the prior bankruptcy contracts. I always want what is best for the group. Hopefully with some more retirements we whittle down those holding us back and can push forward. Lots of you will be on this list for several decades - you need a great contract(s).

Hopefully this airline is around long enough for you to Captain that WB with my great grand kids in the back. And you are making the highest $$$ with most QOL in the industry to boot!!

Amen to all of this.

How junior is LAX vs SEA (737)? I see both in the recent class drop and wondering if you wanted to live in SEA, how bad that commute would be for reserve and line flying.

Often times the bottom guys cannot hold rsv in MSP and are forced to a line. I had months even around 70% seniority in which I couldn't hold rsv and was forced into a line. I would plan on minimal rsv time in MSP and even if you are reserve and want to work, you will be about the only one.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't having a line what you typically want? Predictable, known schedule each month as opposed to blocked reserve days where you may or may not fly?

Depends. I commute but live close enough to sit long call at home. I don't actually go to NYC unless it's short call, an actual trip or the rare "ya driving isn't gonna work this time"

I normally fly but have a 3 ish hour window at night where a 12 hour call means I have to drive. Its about a 6 hour drive to JFK from my house.

I ger paid to hang around my house, work on dirtbikes, ride my mountain bike, etc. I do make sure to be home and ready to go for those last couple hours in the afternoon where I may get called for a 6am show and need to make the 6pm or so RJ to NYC.
