I wonder what the bigger play is here. Chess and checkers argument all over again, we're whining about FAs when we should be complaining about bigger issues.
I'm surprised that the WestJet JV fell through, I figured that would have been a win for the company, and now that they've divided the pilots, I would have thought that pilots with less than ten years would have voted top-end scope away in favor of higher pay rates in whatever seat they're currently sitting 'cause training doesn't get better as you get older.
Additionally, I wonder if ALPA will continue to pursue the bottom end RJ scope violation with lines vs tails. I imagine that will just disappear but I'd like to be wrong. For the group of pilots who believe they got screwed multiple times in their careers (which is probably true), I don't think they'll care about protecting bottom end scope anymore. Why care if an RJ pilot is taking a mainline job since that job isn't going to affect the top 50% of the seniority list. It's going to be an interesting year, I'm sure.
As an aside - anyone know how many planes actually got retired for good? 777, 88s, and 90s - probably a few 764s etc.

Who cares. Be proud that we were the ones, yet again to bring the FA’s a great improvement. The FA’s that understand know this and will thank you for it someday. I will truly never understand people like you that make that an issue. Be proud we did that. Did you even vote and vote YES? Or are you one of those NO voters?

Sure, because less than 1% of green slips are OOBGS. Better come up with a better nugget than that.

There have been rumors that the NC has been in talk very recently to bring some larger RJ's finally on property operated by DL pilots. Schnitzler had briefly mentioned addressing scope issues (minus details) in one of his latest communications. We have the rates. It would be interesting to see if guys would step up and fly them if they were on property.

I think there are 1700 at the bottom of the list that would fly them. Bring them back in house

Because a good many of us don't fly our bid schedule so a good many times I'm getting a trip a couple days out. I've played this game with positive space before. On a heavily commuted route it could suck. It's nice to have, it's nicer if it isn't watered down by 20,000 additional participants. Or how ever many are now on property.
