If I'm doing my math right, it'd be 3 days of reserve guarantee and 2 days of furlough pay, instead of 5 days of 30 hours. About 6.5 hrs difference. Like most other guys have mentioned, I'd just like to get off the roller coaster.

Plus, this way we all get Thanksgiving off with something to be awfully grateful for.

Scoop
Even if furloughed, they would be paid more

11/25 vs 11/30 as a memrat timeline.

11/25: 25 days @ 2:28 + 5 days @ 1 = 66:40 for Nov
11/30 and the company furloughs 11/28: 28 days @ 2:28, 2 days @ 2:10 = 71:14
11/30 and the company doesn't furlough: 74:00

Ok I have a question. So if:
1. LOA 20-04 passes (I think it will).
2. No zombie apocalypse (aahhh, I don't know maybe).
3. BS posts a new AE (He said he would).
But then why should he? Because if the UNA non-furloughed Pilots don't fly, how is 20-04 changing the effective "active" staffing? Shouldn't it stay the same? You know what I mean?

I think 20-04 is great and I voted yes of course.

They still have UNA's not in the 1721 who still don't have a future assignment off UNA status. I think they wanted to get everyone an assignment this last AE but kept getting bit by the ability of the 1721 to reinstate before being able to award anyone senior to them an AE. This deal will allow the company to freely assign those last non-1721 UNA's without having to deal with any reinstatement rights of the 1721.

Plus if they do want to start to bring back any of the 1721 they can only offer them the unfilled spots from the most recent AE. I don't even know if this last AE had anything unfilled.

Cool thanks. This makes sense.
I wonder how many positions (CA/FO) would the reduction in TLV translate to. Also, will CAs displaced out of a disappearing categories (to an FO seat) be able to re-upgrade without having to wait on reinstatements.
