Should a “yes” vote on 20-04 be contingent on a “yes” vote on 20-03? What if I vote “no” on 20-03? Will that “no” vote change how 20-04 would be implemented?
And while the unofficial details of 20-04 look good, let’s wait for the fine print (as you’ve mentioned), to make sure it isn’t laced with mushy language of “at company’s discretion”/“may offer”/etc,etc...30-hour SILs for the UNAs are WAY better than being furloughed. If the details look good I’m leaning “yes” on 20-04 as well.

220 pilots would be restored to full pay by voting for 20-03 vice 30hours in 20-04. That alone is worth the flip of vote.

My only concerns with this is the exact language and it keeps everyone on a leash. I know some have CJOs outside of delta with intent of being furloughed and out for a min of 2 years. The potential furloughees can’t accept outside employment with this without known recall timeframes. The bottom 2000 will be down to 30 hours and that is well below part time money so allowing them to seek other employment is important.
its obvious the company does not want to furlough. They want to keep all bodies ready to go when they need them. But we are being asked to finance that flexibility.
Other than that, I’m pretty surprised by this. I’d like to see a poll of the bottom 2000 and they can determine my vote.

it’s been interesting but at least I have a job so I can’t really complain. Although it is not nearly as easy to stash away cash as it would have been had I been hired a month earlier, but then again it could have been a month later and I’d have no guarantee of them honoring my CJO. It just goes to show Timing really is everything in this industry.
thanks for the concern, hoping for the best for all us in the UNA club

given the reaction on the UNA FB page, I’m guessing overwhelming support. As one of the 1941 this would be a hard yes for me as long as the actual language matches the bullet points.

What are the chances we will see the final language of 20-04 before the voting window for 20-03 closes? I’m not willing to change my vote based on SM rumors.

Hang tight brother, you’ve got your name on the seniority list and will accrue a year or two of longevity before the next new hire sets foot on property, which long term thinking is good for you. Better to be at your career gig than waiting on the even more delayed bus to get you there.
on a separate note, I feel bad for the first LCA that has to fly with me after a year or 2 out of the cockpit though🤣🤣🤣. The break from flying was nice at first but I’m already wondering how I’d do hand flying a SE ILS.
also does this mean I won’t have any probation obligations? I’ll have been here a year in a few months and I already called my CPO a few months back and they said no probation meetings for those who did not complete IOE.

Here’s hoping for a quick pax rebound, dozens of new jets for fire sale prices (even MAXs if necessary), seeing your enemies driven before you and hearing the lamentation of their women.

Im in the CJO pool. You’re right. They extended the CJOs to 18 months, but my loose assumption is that after that the bar starts to move up incrementally for getting in the door. The good part is that I have had relative freedom to go find other employment since this epic game of hardball began. The bad part is that the longevity is at zero.

I may be the only one but I’m hoping for maxes. 73N was my first choice in training and I was really liking the 737. I’d love to get to fly new ones
