Delta parking A220's due to furloughs
#11
I’m not paying too close of attention but since they reinstated a ton of people back to their previous positions is the training pipe line even full for the 220? I looked at the bottom of the list and to keep the 220 staffed it looked like they needed to displace into the 220 but decided not to do that. I don’t see how training ever gets caught up when they literally have no one planned on flying the thing next summer if they actually furlough.

I'm guessing another displacement bid in January to reflect the new fleet plan going forward. Ie say by to some 717, 75/76 spots. That will then push the group down and then they can staff to bring back the A220 for summer next year.
Especially if we end up furloughing since FM will already be in effect say by by to scope and I forsee an uptick in JV flying while we resize.

[QUOTE=Trip7;3138588]Spot on. One does not have to pay much attention much to realize the 220 fleet will be parked for the foreseeable future if they furlough. Displacements won't work either. You can't staff a new hire airplane that's rapidly growing almost entirely with FOs that have no seat lock

Havent heard from you in awhile? Did you get downsized from your 4th floor job? If you’re back you must have rainbow dreams and unicorn hopes to spread. I’m all ears.

I’ll second that! I never thought I’d see the day when I’d miss APC’s very own Pangloss, but heck its 2020 and rainbows and fluffy unicorns sound pretty dang awesome right now. Hook us up Trip!
