I don’t see how training ever gets caught up when they literally have no one planned on flying the thing next summer if they actually furlough.
It's French Canadian and made in Alabama. The thing can fly itself.

Spot on. One does not have to pay much attention much to realize the 220 fleet will be parked for the foreseeable future if they furlough. Displacements won't work either. You can't staff a new hire airplane that's rapidly growing almost entirely with FOs that have no seat lock

Especially if we end up furloughing since FM will already be in effect say by by to scope and I forsee an uptick in JV flying while we resize.
A220 training is backed up. I know several people in training now and going to training soon. I imagine many in the pipeline are from the MD88/90. Considering current demand and it’s fuel efficiency relative to other fleets, would make sense to phase the reintroduction of parked A220s as staffing increases.

Havent heard from you in awhile? Did you get downsized from your 4th floor job? If you’re back you must have rainbow dreams and unicorn hopes to spread. I’m all ears.

I’ll second that! I never thought I’d see the day when I’d miss APC’s very own Pangloss, but heck its 2020 and rainbows and fluffy unicorns sound pretty dang awesome right now. Hook us up Trip!

If they park the -300s they could save on reserve pay. Hmmm. It doesn’t seem to be about saving money at all.
